- To sell tickets for an online event, create a new event, enter it's title, time and description.
- For venue name, enter "Web", "Online" or the web address of your event.
Leave the postal address blank.
- As next step, enter the ticket types and prices.
- By default, Fienta asks the buyer only for an email address. If you wish, you can add additional questions - such as buyer's Facebook or Skype username or other details - from the "Order form" menu from the left.
- A preview of the tickets / confirmation email can be found in the "Ticket" menu. You can modify the text on the ticket to include the web address of your event and a guide to watch a prerecorded content or a live video feed.
Sharing a private link
The easiest way to share either a pre-recorded digital content or a live video feed is to add it's secret link to the Fienta's ticket / confirmation email.
This works pretty well if you're not that concerned with the buyer sharing the link with friends.
If you do not yet know the platform or the specific URL of your event, just start selling tickets and mention in the confirmation email that you will be sending out more specific instructions a few days or hours before the event. You can do that with Fienta's "Emails" tool. When sending the instructions, first enter them to contents of the ticket / confirmation email and then use the "Emails" tool to send out the updated tickets to customers.
Using buyer's email address or asking specific account name
An alternative is to use the e-mail address provided by the customer at the time of purchase to send an invitation from the appropriate platform. For example, you can send invitations to email addresses from Zoom, Google Hangouts ja Blue Jeans.
For some platforms, it may be wise to ask the customer for their username. To do this, first add the relevant question from the "Order Form" menu in Fienta. You can then invite the buyer to a Skype chat, for example, where you can start a conference call later. Or, invite the buyer to a private Facebook group and use Facebook Live on the day of the event.
Using ticket code as password
Our unique ticket code can be used as password to log in to online event platforms. You can promote the code in ticket text or add it to the link which directs to event page. See more about customising tickets in Fienta.
Using ticket code as password also means that your online event platform has to support adding these passwords manually, importing them from XLS file or validating them automatically using Fienta's programming interface.
